Description |
The rooting ability of cuttings of difficult-to-root species Ilex rotunda THUNB. was studied. Results were as follows: 1. Softwood or semi-softwood cuttings from the male tree pre-treated with NAA solutions at 0, 25 and 50 ppm for two hours were planted in coarse vermiculite in the plastic basket under intermittent mist during the summer in 1975. The cuttings made on May 31 rooted considerably, especially it was true of those untreated with NAA. While most of the cuttings planted in June or later did not root. 2. The cuttings from water sprouts of the male tree rooted more easily than those from normal shoots when they were pre-treated with NAA at 0 and 25 ppm on June 22, 1975. 3. The cuttings from the male tree pre-treated with a concentrated NAA solution (2500ppm in 50 -9.801105e-01thanol) on August 2 and/or August 30, 1975, rooted a 69 and 56 % respectively. On the other hand, those treated with lower levels of NAA rooted not at all. 4. The cuttings from the female tree rooted as same as those from the male when they were treated with the concentrated NAA solution on August 2, 1975. クロガネモチのさし木発根の可能性を検討し, 以下の結果を得た. 1. 季節的な発根の可能性を調べるため, 1975年5月31日から9月27日にかけて, NAA 0?50ppm処理後ミストざしを行った結果, 5月31日区のNAA対照区では高率で発根し, NAA処理区では30%ていど発根した. しかし, 6月以降にさし木しても, ほとんど発根しなかった. 2. 萌芽枝は普通枝よりもよく発根した. 3. NAA 2500ppmで処理すると, 8月2日あるいは30日にさし木しても, それぞれ69%, 56%の発根率となった. しかし, 低濃度(50ppm以下)のNAA処理では, 全く発根しなかった. 4. 8月2日にNAA高濃度処理後ミストざしすると, 雌株成木からのさし穂も雄株からのさし穂も, ほぼ同様によく発根した. |
