Description

Relation of the degree of flower thinning, the number of leaves on bearing shoots and mineral nutrient element contents in the calyx to the incidence of physiological fruit drop was investigated for buds of satsuma mandarin trees in an on year. 1. In heavy flowered trees, the fruit drop in heavy flower thinning trees was much lower than that in light flower thinning trees. There was a close relationship between the degree of flower thinning and the drop in the stage of young fruits. The fruit drop had two peaks ; the first one was remarkably higher in comparison with second one. The drop in the non-flower thinning trees was highest in the former and lowest in the latter. The number of shoots sprouting in summer season was affected to great extent by the flower thinning. 2. In good flowered trees, the fruit sets in leafy flower ranged from about 20 to 40 percent in mid-August. There was correlation between the number of leaves per bearing shoot and the fruit set after the stage of fruit drop. 3. The contents of N, P, K, Ca and Mg in the calyx were higher to some extent in the dropping fruits than those in the setting fruits, while Mn content did not show consistent difference between both. The contents of mineral elements in the calyx in the early stage of fruit development were higher as compared with that in the late stage.

温州ミカンの生理的落果と摘花の程度, 結果枝の葉数, ヘタ部の無機成分量との関係について, 調査を行った. 1. 無摘花樹において, 生理落果は強度の摘花によっていちじるしく減少し, 摘花の程度と生理落果との間にはほぼ比例的関係が認められた. 落果は2頂曲線を呈し, 第1次落果の頂点は第2次落果のそれよりいちじるしく高かった. 前者の落果は無摘花樹で最も多く, 後者の落果は逆に強度摘花樹で多かった. 夏枝は摘花の程度に比例して発生した. 2. 適度の着花樹において, 生理落果後の8月中旬における有葉花の着果率は約20?40%で, 葉数と着果率との間には密接な関係が認められた. なお, 直花果の着果率ははなはだ低かった. 3. ヘタ部のN, P, K, Ca, Mg量は着生果よりも, 落果の方がやや高く, Mn量には一定の傾向がなかった. これらの無機成分量は果実の発育が進むにつれて漸減した.
