Description

The purpose of this paper are to investigate the effect of film mulch and sweet potato canopy on the microclimate near the row surface. The mulch material was black polyethylene film 0.04 thick. The variety of sweet potato was named 'Kokei No. 14'. Experimental four plots were designed as follow: No. 1 plot was not planted and not mulched, No.2 was planted and not mulched, No.3 was not planted and mulched, and No.4 was planted and mulched. The observation of microclimate and the cultivation of sweet potato were performed from May to October in 1980. The results were obtained as follow: 1) Sum of the latent and sensible heat fluxes on the row surface of mulched plot (No.3) at night was increased 34% than that of unmulched plot (No.1) on July 22. Daily amount of the sum in mulched plot was also increased 15% than that of unmulched plot. 2) As for the effect of canopy on the heat balance at the planting plots (No. 2, 4). When the stems and leaves of sweet potatoes have considerably grown the proportion on the values of heat balance components are constant regardless of mulched or not. 3) The effects of sweet potato canopy and the total effects of canopy plus film mulching on the soil temperature in mulched and unmulched plots were gained as relation between ratio of diurnal range of soil temperature at 5cm depth (daily range in treatment plot/ that of controlled) and ratio of covered area by plant to row surface one. As for the canopy effect, the ratios of diurnal range of soil temperature in mulched (No.4/ No.3) and unmulched plots (No.2/ No.1) became small as the ratio of covered area by plants to row surface increased. The decrease of canopy effect in unmulched plot was about 1, 2 times that of mulched plot. The effect of canopy and the total effects of canopy plus film mulching are some equal.

本実験の目的は, 畦面被覆栽培におけるフィルムマルチと甘藷の植被が地温に及ぼす影響を, 微気象的に明らかにすることである. 畦の被覆には黒色ポリエチレンフィルム(厚さ0.04mm)を使用し, 甘藷の品種は""高系14号""を用いた. 実験区は, 被覆の有無で2大別し, さらにそれらに植生の有無を加え, 計4種類とした. すなわち, 無マルチの場合, 植生の有無により, 無植生無マルチ区(No.1)と植生無マルチ区(No.2)とし, 被覆をした畦についても植生の有無によって, 無植生マルチ区(No.3)と植生マルチ区(No.4)とした. 実験は1980年5月から10月にかけて行い, 微気象観測および甘藷の生育調査のそれぞれを実施した. 得られた結果は下記のとおりである. 1)フイルムマルチによって, 夜間における潜・顕熱伝達量は無マルチの場合(No.1)より大きくなり(34%増, 7月22日), 日積算値においても, マルチ区(No.3)では無マルチ区の15%増となった. 2)植被の効果としては, フィルムマルチの有無にかかわらず, 植被がある大きさに達すると熱収支各項の割合が一定になる. 3)植被単独の効果, およびマルチと植被両者による複合効果を地温日較差比(-5cm)と地被率との関係から求めた. 植被単独の効果は, フィルムの有無こかかわらず, 地被率が高くなるにつれて日較差比は低下する. ただ, その低下度は無マルチ区の方が, マルチの約1.2倍大きかった. マルチと植被の複合効果は, マルチ区における植被単独の場合とあまり差がなかった.
