Description

The purpose of this paper are to investigate the effect of mulching by black polyethylene film (0.04 mm thick) and a canopy on the soil temperature in tunnel culture. Mulched plots and not mulched plots were prepared in tunnel and at open field. Tunnel material and mulching one were translucent polyethylene film (0.03 mm thick) and black one (0.04 mm thick) respectively. Lawns were used as model canopy, and set in tunnel and at open field. In tunnel radish cv. 'Kyokko haruao' were planted. These experiments were made from January to April in 1981. The results were obtained as follow: 1) As for the effect of mulching on the maximum soil temperature at 5cm depth, the soil temperature difference (mulch-no mulch) was gained by solar radiation above 140 cal cm-2 day-1 at open field, and in tunnel culture the effect of mulching was gained above 80 cal cm-2 day-1. 2) The soil temperatures effected by model canopy and by film mulch was estimated by ratio of diurnal range of soil temperature in mulched plot to that of cotrol (no canopy or bare plot). The effect showed by ratio of diurnal range of soil temperature on model canopy was increased as the canopy covered the row surface, and such tendency was more remarkable at open field than that of tunnel. The total effect of model canopy and mulch material was similar to that of model canopy alone. 3) The effect of heat insulation by model canopy in tunnel was greater than that of open field, and this tendency was more remarkable when the mulching effect was added to model canopy effect. 4) The effects of radish canopy on soil temperature in tunnels were great as the growths were at an early period in mulched and unmulched plots.

本実験の目的は, トンネルを併用した畦面被覆栽培におけるフィルムマルチと植被が地温へ及ぼす影響を, 微気象的に明らかにすることである. トンネル被覆とマルチにはそれぞれ透明ポリフィルム(厚さ0.03mm)と黒色ポリフィルム(厚さ0.04mm)を用いた. 植生には寒冷紗の枚数を調節した植生模型と, 大根の""旭交春青""を使用した. トンネル内と露地にはそれぞれマルチと植生模型を設置し, また, 一部トンネルには大根を栽植してマルチ, 植被の各単独効果, およびマルチと植被による複合効果を, 主に地温を中心にみた. 実験は, 1981年1月より4月に行った. 1) マルチの単独効果を最高地温(地下5cm)でみると, 露地では約 140 cal cm-2day-1の日射量で地温差(マルチ-無マルチ)が得られたが, トンネル内ではそれが約 80 cal cm-2day-1であった. 2) マルチと植生模型による地温効果を地温日較差比からみると, 模型単独の場合, それが日射を強く制御するほど日較差比は小さくなるが, その程度はトンネル内の方がわずかに露地よりも小さい. マルチと植生模型の複合効果でもその傾向は同じである. 3) 夜間におけるトンネル内の植生模型による保温効果は, 露地の場合より大きく, それにマルチが加わると保温の効果は一層, 顕著になる. 4) トンネル栽培における大根(植被)の地温に対する影響は, マルチの有無とはほとんど関係なく, しかも生育の初期におけるほどそれは大きい.
